A Big Big Day

Today (September 27th) Zander had a BIG doctor appointment. Not only was he scheduled for shots but today he would also be circumcised. I left this decision up to his Daddy, and promised to support his decision but would NOT be present during the procedure. Well, when it came right down to it I couldn't just leave my boys to fend for themselves so I hid behind Brandon. Zander did surprisingly well, I however cried like a big baby and Brandon and I had a shameful guilty feeling for the rest of the afternoon. As if this wasn't enough excitement for one day, Zander also finally lost his umbilical cord! And may I just say he has the cutest belly button!

As you can see all the excitement really wore him out.

Warning: It's about to get mushy

I have been in love with Zander's daddy for 10 years and never could have imgined loving him more. Well, watching him with our son has only made me love him more. I could not ask for better, Zander is so lucky to have such an amazing dad and I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband.

I am pretty sure they are going to best buds.

What we know and love

So we have been enjoying parenthood for 9 days now. We have learned quite a bit about our little man. Here are just a few of the things we know and love about Zander....
1. He looks just like his Daddy
2. If he could he would eat and sleep all day... oh wait he does
3. Loves to be held and cuddled
4. Dislikes his bassinet
5. Sneezes an average of 10 times a day
6. He is a champ; not even spit up, poop, or the hiccups can get him down
7. He is already swinging his feet over and rolling onto his side
8. Loves Daddy's left shoulder
9. Knows Daddy is better at diaper changing, bathing, and burping
10. Is very kissable

There are many more things we love about Zander, but I will stop with 10 for now.

Introducing Zander Charles

Zander Charles has arrived! He was born on September 7, 2011 at 8:21am. He weighed 8lbs 2oz and 21in long. He is more wonderful than we ever could have imagined. Since our little man arrived via c-section, we stayed three days at the hospital. Here are some pictures from our stay at the hospital.

Zander's 39 weeks and ready for his debut!

Zander only has a few more days of growing inside my tummy. At this point Zander is just putting on the pounds and awaiting his big debut this Wednesday! We have been very busy preparing for his arrival. His room is done, and we cannot be happier with how it turned out.

We have also finished all the painting in the other rooms of the house! Grandma and Grandpa Stover purchased an amazing video camera for Brnadon and me to document all of Zander's monumental events.

As for the bathroom, we are still awaiting the shower door (which should be here tomorrow) but other than that, it's done! I hope that I can take my last prego shower in our new bathroom and in our new shower before venturing to the hospital.

As for how I will spend my last day before becoming a mom, we will begin at Starbucks, then pedicures and manicures with my mom, sister and aunt and finally to target to get last minute items. The rest of the afternoon will consist of a nap, cleaning, packing and enjoying a final quiet childless evening with Brandon.

I am so excited, and cannot believe he's almost here. I cannot wait to finally share pictures of him with all of you. However, I often feel like I am just posting for my own benefit since very few of you leave comments... maybe I will refuse to post any pictures until more of my so called "followers" leave some supportive comments. Hmm... we will see.
