And so it begins.....

Those of you, who know me know I like to shop, love to organize and need to be prepared. With this in mind, we have already started to decorate the nursery. It will be a car theme (in honor of Zander's Daddy's love for motor vehicles) with dark red and blue accent colors. I was able to find exactly what we had in mind at Target (also known as the best place on earth). Here is the start... and I can't wait to get more. They also had perfect red and blue organizing tubs. These are not pictured because I was able to temporarily resist.... not sure how long this will last because I have been dreaming about these tubs and all the wonderful organizing I will be able to do since I saw them. What is pictured is a car pillow, rug, Zander's first piggy bank and an alphabet picture from Auntie Sue. Get the idea??? Good, cause I love it, and so does Zander's Daddy!

Our Welcome Home

After finding out that it was baby Zander growing in my tummy, we drove home to find a wonderful surprise! Not only did our car have an "It's a Boy!" banner on it our yard and house were also decorated with similar decor.

Zander is not even born yet and he is already so loved! Brandon and I are so lucky to have such a wonderful family who loves and supports us. Thank you Angela and Tracey! We will tell Zander how his auntie and Nanna braved the rain to show their love for him!

It'a a boy, it's a boy!

We had our second ultrasound today, both soon to be grandmas, aunt Baylee and aunt Suzi were there. Oh and of course Brandon too! We all piled into the very small ultrasound room where I cried uncontrollably (again) and where we found out; I am growing a very healthy 13oz baby boy! "100% penis," to quote our technician. I feel so blessed and Brandon feels very proud! I had thought and felt that it was a boy and Brandon not so secretly was really hoping for a boy. So we are proud to introduce the most handsome and loved little boy..... Zander Charles Stover.

Baby Stover's First Easter Egg Hunt!

Okay okay, maybe it wasn't officially the first Easter egg hunt but I have a feeling this year’s hunt will go a lot like next years, me looking for eggs while carrying Baby Stover. So we woke up this morning and Brandon instructed me not to get out of bed. Next thing I know I'm being led outside for an Easter egg hunt. I was able to find all but one egg and coincidentally that's the one Brandon cannot remember where he hid. It was a lot of fun, and will be even more fun next year with Teagen or Zander. Which by the way we will find out in less than 24 hours from this post! This maybe the last time I will have to call him/her Baby Stover!!

Happy 19 weeks Baby Stover and Happy Birthday Brandon!

Baby Stover is 19 weeks and Brandon is 28 years old on Wednesday. Baby Stover is now the size of a mango weighing about 1/2 an ounce and measures 6 inches long. It was this week (Tuesday 4/18) that Brandon was able to finally feel Baby Stover! Next week we have our next ultrasound where we will be able to know how Baby Stover is growing and whether it's a boy or girl! We are so excited; this week could NOT be going any slower. I can't believe I'm almost half way through my pregnancy.

18 Weeks

Well Baby Stover is 18 weeks old and on Tuesday April 12th I felt him/her move! I was at work and sitting with a small group of kids during reading group. It may have been the combination of a full bladder, tight fitting work pants and being one of the only times that I get to actually sit during the day but whatever it was I definitely felt movement. It was not what I was expecting or what others described as feeling. What I felt was NOT a flutter or fish like. This was a full movement... not tiny at all. The feeling continued throughout the day and it was amazing and familiar all at the same time. Brandon is very jealous. I'm looking forward to the moment he is able to feel Baby Stover as well. As I am typing this, he/she is moving around.

On to Baby Stover's growth. This week Baby Stover is the size of a sweet potato and is busy hiccuping, yawning, sucking, swallowing, rolling and twisting. And if it is a HE and is anything like his Daddy he's probably in there wrestling too! If it is a SHE and is anything like me, she's either napping or whining. Either way our sweet potato could not be more loved! Today Grandma Tara bought Baby Stover his/her beautiful matching dresser for his/her room and railing for the toddler bed. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa Stover!

I'm 17 weeks!

Hey, it's me Baby Stover! Since it seems as though my mom is not going to update you on my growth this week and my dad is off quading without us, it looks as if I will need to do it. Last week I started growing tiny bones in my ears so I could hear.... this week I am able to pick up sound and although I cannot yet decipher between voices I have a feeling it's my mom that is constantly singing off key and talking to me. Thank goodness, she is on Spring Break this week so other than the singing it's been pretty peaceful. Anyways back to my amazing and unbelievable growth... my skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone. I weigh about 5 ounces, am 5 inches long and the size on an onion. I'm not quite big enough yet for my mommy and daddy to feel but just you wait.... in a few weeks I will and I am sure you will hear ALL about it! All right that's all I got for you this week. Hopefully, my mom will have it together enough to update you all next week. See you all in 5 months!

Found this picture of what I look like, my parents won't have another pic of me to share for a few more weeks. So picture this size, except I'm much better looking.
