Baby Stover is 4 months!

Baby Stover is now the size of an avocado. In addition to growing eyelashes, eyebrows and taste buds Baby Stover is also growing tiny bones in his/her ears! So now, I don't feel quite so crazy talking to Zander or Teagen... which I do a lot.

We had another doctor appointment this week and it could not have gone better. Everything is looking good and we got to hear the amazing heart beat. Okay, I'm going to get a little mushy for a moment.... what's even better then hearing the heart beat is watching Brandon's face while hearing the heart beat, he gets so excited it's my favorite part of our doctor appointments. At the end of the appointment we got to make our next 20 week appointment which will begin with an ultrasound that will tell us how the baby is doing growth and health wise and........ whether it's Teagen or Zander growing in my tummy! I am so excited and cannot believe how fast everything is happening. However, I'm sure the next 3 weeks and 3 days will go by very slowly.

This is too cute

So although we are very very relieved we are not having twins (they run on both sides of my family so Brandon was just a little concerned to say the least) they can be very cute! Check out this video, it's hilarious!

Step 1 in Preparing for Baby

So apparently, all I had to do to get some remodeling done to our home is to get pregnant. First project was the removal of our wood stove that has been replaced with a beautiful heat pump! Now those of you who know me and know our home know I HATE to be hot and our house gets HOT HOT HOT in the summer... so I am ecstatic towards the idea of having air conditioning this summer, especially while being pregnant. Next fix on the list is new carpet. Therefore, my mom and I spent Saturday perusing carpets. We found the perfect one for our home and one day crawling baby.  Here are some pics of our new and soon to be additions! I am one happy momma to be. Thanks Mom and Dad!

Pregnancy Brain Strikes Again!

So this morning I got up, got dressed and headed over to my Grandma's and Aunt's house to have Swedish hotcakes. I was feeling pretty good.... until I sat down and looked down at my shoes..... I was wearing two different shoes! Now I have to admit that I was not in any kind of hurry when getting dressed and I still have a clear view of my feet. So in all honesty, I have no idea how it happened. Good news is I did NOT cry. Although my aunt was pretty sure I was going to. Brandon thought it was pretty hilarious and in between his laughter I am sure he was pretty proud of my emotional stability.

Hello Spring and 15 weeks!

Baby Stover has definitely been growing! Over the next few weeks, he/she will be doubling in weight and adding several inches in length. I have definitely been feeling it. My pants are now being held up by the amazing bellyband. This is the best invention ever made! Baby Stover is wiggling like crazy and has limbs that are now longer than his/her legs... I can't wait to be able to feel all his/her movements. Our next doctor appointment is next week and in just one month we will know whether it's Zander or Teagen making me an emotional wreck.

So the latest breakdown was when Brandon went to fill up gas in our car and I could not.... could not remember my pin. You're thinking ok this happens to everyone once in a while... as Brandon reminded me it is called a "brain fart". However instead I continued to attempt to remember it between sobs. Yes, I was balling. As I am crying, I am realizing how ridiculous I am being and then begin crying because of my emotional mess. Those who know me klnow I am already emotional however, this is a completely new realm of emotion. Anyways, Baby Stover seems to be very healthy and happy..... continues to crave tuna and now chocolate milk. And besides the often break downs I am doing very well too!

Baby Stover is acutally beginning to look like a baby!

Baby Stover is 14 weeks and the size of an apple! He/she is busy with thumb sucking and toe wiggling; he/she can squint, frown, grimace and pee. Baby Stover's eyes are still shut but are able to sense light... in fact if you hold a flashlight to my expanding belly it will move away in response. Brandon can't wait to test this theory.

Hello Second Trimester!

Baby Stover is 13 weeks and the size of an orange! This week Baby Stover begins to grow teeth and vocal cords... the better to cry in the middle of the night with I'm sure. Each week I continue to feel more and more pregnant. Bathroom breaks are now necessary quite often. A student even wrote a vocabulary sentences for the word noticed that said, "Today I noticed Mrs. Stover's baby bump." This week I have been craving tuna and cheetos…. they both occurred on different days however thinking about it now they actually sound yummy together! Unfortunately I have met my weekly servings for seafood this week so I will have to go without.

12 Weeks!

Okay okay so I am just about 13 weeks now.... my grow day is Monday.... it's been one of those weeks! Anyways, just as I have been busy Baby Stover has been busy as well. This week Baby Stover is the size of a lime and is beginning to open and close his/her fist, curl toes, and clench his/her eyes. Baby Stover has moved up higher in my tummy, in fact if I probe my abdomen our baby will squirm in response. I can't wait until I am able to feel his/her movements. I'm almost through with my first trimester which means I will hopefully start having more energy and stop going to bed at 7! We had our second doctor appointment this week and it could not have gone better! We LOVE our doctor and I loved that she even ordered Brandon to get blood drawn, he was pretty tough. I didn't cry as much this time when we heard the heart beat but it was beautiful and strong. Just one more appointment to go before we find out whether it's a boy or girl! (Again, this is not a picture of Baby Stover, but is what Baby Stover may look like.)
